Let the Photos Begin

Well, I might as well start this off with some content, so as to not disappoint. In my exploration of a freezing downtown Nanaimo, I couldn't help but be drawn to this logo outside of RLR Lawyers on Richards St.

Every time I've passed this one, something about its simplicity (both in design and colour) really drew me to it. Combine that with very tactful spacing and contrast, and you've got a fairly effective logo on your hands.
Considering there isn't much in terms of really adventurous design around my area of town, settling for a well-built company logo seemed like a sensible second choice. Or, maybe it's just a sign I need to get out of the house more. Once the ice is gone, perhaps.

Until next week, folks.

  1. Yeah, I agree with you on the simplicity of it all. less is more, minimal use of color and it still maintains the nanaimo-ey aquatic feel with the subtle suggestion of waves at the top of the logo, i also feel you on the lack of access to quality around my place too....time to get creative with your submissions!

  2. Hmm interesting! I agree with you and Chris, I also like that you chose a logo instead of a poster. :)

  3. Cool! Yeah Nanaimo is hard to get around when you don't have a car or it is icy. They don't seem to be able to handle winter here very well... ha ha. This is a nice logo, very simplistic and professional. It seems to be quite fitting to the fact it is for lawyers, the colours and very stream-lined professional look suits them I think lol

  5. I agree with you, the colours compliment each other and the crispness of the spacing and lines separating the text is quite effective. Good job!
